Loose Sweaters

I’ve been living in my loose sweaters and tight jeans, and as I look around, seems like I’m not the only one. Since I need to stop myself from spontaneously buying every fall colored, soft, oversized sweater in sight, I thought I would fulfill my need by encouraging my readers to pick up this bad habit too. Then you can be boss (and shopping-budget-less) like me!

My top choices:

Clockwise from top:

Daydreamer LA Long-Sleeved Tee ($34) – AKA the sweater that started my obsession.

Dazzle Sweater ($40) – Embellishments means you can wear it out places instead of just lounging.

Vince Cashmere Sweater ($320) – I could never afford this, but I would probably live in it’s cuddly wonderfulness.

Beach Cable Pullover ($98) – perfect with black skinny’s and knee high boots now; cold beach days later.

Music Festivals

I’m very excited for this weekend! My good friend Lindsay from college is coming down tonight, and we’re going to go to Sunfest this tomorrow down in Palm Beach. We’ll be jamming out to Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Third Eye Blind and Girl Talk. Even better, the weather looks like sunshine all weekend. Perfect for a Sunday relaxing at the beach.

In honor of Sunfest – and the various upcoming summer music concerts – I’ve decided to put together the perfect music festival outfit.

1. Friday Night Shorts

2. Twist Head Wrap

3.  Ray Ban Aviators

4. Ericka Bandeau Top

5. Beebee Shoes

6. Tug Of War Tank

Men’s Fashion

I feel like I need to address menswear. This weekend my friend came in to town from Orlando, which was AWESOME, but he wore light blue basketball shorts everywhere – even out to dinner. Now, as a former B.A. ranger that’s now studying to design video games, I’m sure fashion is not on his priority list. Not only that, but he asked me when I started “being such a girl”. I guess back in college I was a lot better at being “one of the guys”.

In case you WANTED to impress the ladies with your style (or at least this lady) – please put away the affliction shirts and stop wearing gym attire to any place where girls might be wearing dresses (especially if your girl is).

Oh, and make sure your jeans fit right. So many guys I see aren’t wearing the right pants. These guys I see invest in nice fitting work pants, but then go out on the weekend wearing ill fitted Levi’s or weird bedazzled jeans that I’m sure you think LOOK expensive.

Here’s some examples of great men’s style:

OK, I guess I’m biased to the colored shirt+v-neck sweaters look.

Some last tips:

1. Don’t worry trying to figure out what’s in style too much. Just figure out what shapes work best with your height and weight.

2. A great pair of well fitted dark jeans works for almost any style. Invest.

3. Stick with straight leg or bootcut

4. Big logos and bedazzling has the same effect on woman as Hummer trucks and monopolizing the conversation.

5. Jeans will stretch a full size after a couple months. Buy smaller rather than larger, or make sure they’re pre-shrunk

There’s something so dorky, yet cool about neon. It’s almost like admitting to liking A Night at the Roxbury—or the girl version—Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. So, in that spirit:

Tribal Neon

Subtle Neon

I need those shoes for my candy themed birthday!

Coachella Fashion: Vanessa Hudgens

I’m so in love with the fashion shown at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this weekend in Indio, California. I’m particularily fond of the Woodstock inspired ensembles Vanessa Hudgens wore as she cozied up to her boyfriend Austin Butler.

Too costumey? Maybe, but part of you really wants to be her, right?

I’m also really loving Rihanna’s look:
